iPod Classic or iPod Touch ?

After years of resisting the iPod - I have decided to make the switch. (I have a Sony MP3 Walkman which I bought a couple of years ago and a Creative player before that by the way) . The switch is long overdue I hear some of you say. Yes, I would agree. It all started when I was uploading songs on to my friend’s iPod Classic. Just loved everything about it from the iTunes software which I used for the first time to the ease of choosing songs on the iPod itself to all the accessories available.
So i decided to use my KD20 voucher from Xcite electronics towards buying an iPod. But which one? I don’t want the Nano or the Shuffle, so I am left with a choice of the slightly cheaper Classic with its massive 160GB (total HD of my laptop !!) or the iPod Touch which “only” has 32 GB ( or 64GB for extra KD50), but is touch screen and has Wi-Fi.
What do you guys think ? iPod Touch or Classic? Guide me oh wise experienced iPod users….

Definatley iPod touch! I love my iPod touch, it’s 3jeeb..I mean if you can get an iPod with apps, weather and YouTube why get the one with none of that?=p lol that’s how I see it..

If i didn’t have an ipod and am going to buy one now, i would definitely buy the touch ! take it from me…you don’t need 160 GB on your ipod. My ipod has movies, stand up comedy videos and songs; It is a 32 GB, i am only 3/4 full (had it for 2 years + now)
If you are a song download freak, then go with 64 GB, cause by the time you fill it, something new will be out in the market and it will be time to switch.
Good move though; ipod is the best…you will love all the accessories out there !!
Go for the “Touch” hands down…it has way more features like wifi so u can surf the net and u have the versatility of having access to the app store. It basically has all the same features as the iphone except it is not a phone! Go for it Mix u won’t be disappointed!
You have seen the light my friend!!…. In time, your return from the dark side will be complete!!
This is how I made my conversion to Mac. It all started with ITunes on my old PC.
It depends on how much music you have, because there is less memory in the IPod Touch. However, the Touch has so much more than the IPod classic. Or even better, put it all together and get an IPhone.
The one thing you need to check , is the battery life on these devices. I have an IPhone, and I have to charge it once every 36 hours, and I am not a heavy user. I would assume the IPod Touch has a better battery , but you need to check this .
Depends on what you want it for. I think you should just go for the standard Ipod classic. You can still upload movies. But to be honest I barely watch any on my ipod classic (drains the battery) and I just plug in my Ipod to listen to music. But if you use it alot for travel, and find your self like george clooney, stuck at airports - thengo for the Itouch
Good luck
Thanks for all the feedback guys. It looks like the iPod Touch is the clear winner. And if it means that I can even imagine myself as George Clooney - well KD 112 is a small price to pay !
