I cannot wait to see this movie !
I’ve been disappointed with the movies that have come out this Summer. It started off well with Star Trek but really the other movies have not lived up to the hype. Where is the movie which defines this summer? Harry Potter ? I haven’t seen it but people have told me its OK, nothing special. Transformers 2 was disappointing and so was Terminator Salvation. I never got to see Wolverine, but friends have told me its rubbish.
Well I just came accross a movie called District 9 which opens in America next weekend. Its produced by Peter Jackson (director of Lord of the Rings) and looks like a mix of Predator, Transformers and Terminator. Just watching the trailer makes you sweat with nerves and tension as its shot in a ’reality’ style.
I don’t usually post trailers as they tend to give away the movie, but this one gives you a good idea of what its about and doesn’t seem to give too much away. I have no idea when it opens in Kuwait but cannot wait to see it. (If you get easily scared, don’t watch the trailer :) )

umm it looks ok, bs sometimes trailers can fool you ;/ o yes mafey aflam worth watching this summer…and Mix why do u think ena its scary :)
True the trailers for Transformers and the last Terminator made the movie look better than it was. Bs I think hal marra its different. The movie has no big marketing or famous actors fa it has to rely on the story and shakla more realistic and original. Wala it’s not scary to me bs hey I thought I would give the warning just in case ;)
i think that people loved the movie Transformers o sawow ‘6aja 3aleh 3alashan Megan Fox not the movie itself lol

And I don’t think they picked Megan Fox for her acting skills lol ! Wala I’m always interested in movies with good story and acting so if know of any good ones, yeah please share them !
I think my “summer blockbuster” so far is the hangover..Amazingly funny movie, def worth watching.
Liked the trailer, v similar storyline to a lot of horror/alien/gore videogames. A couple of the aliens/monsters even looked like necromorphs..
Apparently it comes out on 4th sep over here in the uk. The tricky part: To convince someone to watch it with me! hehe
Oh and have you seen their advertising campaign..ingenious!
I’ve heard that The Hangover is the funniest movie in ages but been told NOT to watch it in the cinema when it comes to Kuwait because soooo many scenes will be cut :(
I haven’t seen any of the advertising for District 9, actually I only saw the trailer by chance and you’re right it does have a Dead Space/Resistance feel to it. I think its going to be full of heart thumping scenes !!
