Kanye West - Louis Vuitton Sneakers
Some of you will already know that Kanye West is obsessed with everything to do with designer label Luis Vuitton (he mentions them frequently in his songs), but he has now got together with the French fashion house to design and market his own line of shoes. Now I don’t shop in LV and I don’t really care what collections they have out, but 2 things come to mind:
1. What are LV doing devaluing its brand (which is supposed to represent style and elegance) by going down the Hip Hop clothing route ?
2. Who on earth would want to buy these shoes ?? The ones in the photo are top of the range, but just look awful. Oh and wait till I tell you how much they cost….$1,140 !! That’s insane, I wouldn’t even pay $14 for these !

When I saw the photo it reminded me of the shoes that MC Hammer used to wear…remember him. It’s true Luis Vuitton are usually more classy with their styles.
Not only is the style terrible but the colours! Pink, brown AND grey?! The ’sneaker’ is far too fussy. Even if they were handing them out for free I wouldnt bother with them!
SaRooN : Points 1-5 are absolutely right. I have no idea what LV were thinking of when they agreed to designing pink men’s shoes with Kanye West. Laaaaish indeed! Looks like Lady Gaga got involved somewhere along the way !!

I read about those pair, even though it is under the LV brand but Marc Jacobs designed it. Walla nice.
Marc Jacobs is also involved with the design ?? I didn’t know that. Too OTT for me.

It looks like they’re only for men. I can imagine the pink one being popular with girls..but this is Kanye West trying to make a “statement” I guess, LOL !!!

Ok the brown is probably the best of the lot, but I don’t think its anything special. I would much prefer to buy a pair of Paul Smith shoes which really do look great.
