Movie Review : Role Models

For a while on Showtime they have been advertising the movie Role Models which they are showing on one of the Show Cinema channels. I had never heard of the movie even though I discovered later it came out at the end of 2008. I found the advert really annoying and the movie looked stupid. But as there was nothing really on TV and the movie had just started, I thought what the hell.
Plot
Two friends have to be role models for 150 hours to a couple of problem kids. It stars Seann William Scott (Stiffler from the American Pie movies), who basically plays a (slightly) more mature version of his Stiffler character, party loving etc. His friend, played by Paul Rudd, is a sarcastic travelling salesman whose life is going nowhere. They are assigned a kid each to mentor and teach them about life.
Verdict
I had low expectations of this movie, even if you watch the trailer it doesn’t look anything special at all. But I have to say its one of the funniest films I have seen in a long time. Its not so much the funny scenes but more the hilarious lines that some of the characters come out with. Both lead actors are funny and so is the small kid that Stiffler has to mentor. He cracks insults like Chris Rock ! The final scene is so corny but by then you are having too much of a good time.
The movie is an R- rated comedy and I would say that quite a few jokes would appeal more to guys, but it really isn’t a movie that only guys would enjoy. There were a few lines that had me laughing out loud and overall its good fun.

As there’s been quite a lot of talk about coffee on this blog, I picked a clip from the movie which I am sure Starbucks drinkers will appreciate :)

hahahahha….man the clip is funny!!! saw it three or four times back to back, laughing in my office… colleagues came in from nearby offices to see what was going on……definitely gonna watch this movie!!! looks like a stress reliever!!
That’s not even the funniest part, so I think you are going to love the movie! Its on Show Cinema 1 until 31st July.
lol, that is funny.
I actually always confuse the sizes at these coffee shops, who said tall is smaller than medium ???!!!
And to confuse things even more, Starbucks have a “short” size which is smaller than the Tall but not as small as the espresso !!!
