Portable Hard Drive Bargain
I’m always needing additional storage for my music, movies and TV shows. But as I use a laptop, my preference is always for the ultra portable USB portable drives as opposed to the external hard drives which need to be plugged in to the wall. Until recently you could only get these in 250gb or 320gb. but now the 500gb are become more available - although until now they’ve been too expensive.
This weekend I was in Carrefour and found the WD My Passport 500gb portable hard drive for only KD32.750 !! A couple of months ago these were going for close to KD50. So I had no hesitation in buying it. Checked out the price on Amazon when I got home and its $120 and got great reviews - so a pretty good bargain all round.
It is ultra thin and sleek , looks about the size of the i-phone, doesn’t get hot whilst transferring files, but its not the quickest for transfer speeds.

It looks elegant and thin and above all the price is not that bad… It seems that Carrefour have lots of good offers.
WHAT? That is a really really really good deal. I just bought my 160GB Toshiba for $159…

I’m telling you, every week they have different deals. I picked up a scanner/printer/photocopier for only KD10 a few weeks ago !!
