Never Regret Sending An Email Again (if you’re quick!)
We’ve either all done it at least once, or been very close to doing it. Sending an email to the wrong person by accident. And 9 times out of 10 its not just a simple message. It could be a rude joke, or in the worst possible case dissing someone only to find that the person being dissed has actually been copied in the email by mistake! Of course we are all good people so nothing like this is likely to happen but its good to know that guys from Google have got our back covered just in case :)
If you use GMail you can now add a feature called “Undo - Send” which gives you a chance to stop the email from being sent after you’ve clicked the “send” button. You can then change recipients, attachments or text. There is just one thing to keep mind. You’ve only got 5 seconds to “undo the send”, so you still have to pay attention. Here’s how the ’sent’ screen will look with the feature installed:

So basically you just click on the “Undo” button to get the message back in draft format. You can add this great feature by going to the ‘Settings’ option in GMail and clicking the ‘Labs’ tab.
Although I have a Gmail account, I much prefer the layout of Yahoo Mail. So hopefully Yahoo will bring out something similar. Not that I would need it of course, but its good to have just in case ;)

Another reason why GMAIL is great!
i wish there was a similar thing for text msgs!
i always end up sending text msgs to the wrong people! haha!
Oh I wish hotmail had this feature. I remember sending an e-mail to a group of people and accidentally sending it to someone who I didn’t intend to. Worst thing was I was complaining about work in my e-mail and the person I accidentally sent the e-mail to was someone I worked with at the time!!!
Thanks for the heads up about g-mail, I just might switch over so as not to make this mistake again!!
Sh7afana - Text messages can be lethal. And the cancel button never works when you try to stop the message from being sent !
Alia - Group emails are risky too, someone always manages to sneak onto the list! Both Gmail and Yahoo mail are MUCH better than Hotmail.
i’ve had a gmail account for years and still cant get myself to make the transition from hotmail..
