Breakfast Time !
I’m one of those people who can’t leave the house in the morning without having breakfast. As I never really have enough time in the morning my choice is pretty limited (not that I could ever have fried eggs at 6:30 am !!). No, actually I have always been a cereal person. The problem is the real lack of choice of good quality, healthy cereals around (eg. muesli). I’m convinced that the UK supermarkets have the best selection of cereals (either branded or their own make). Better than the States, better than continental Europe and definitely better than Kuwait - until I discovered Dorset Cereals at Sultan Center.
Even though its a UK brand I had never heard of it before, but the ingrediants and the look of the cereal in the little windows on the box caught my eye. After tasting it all I can say it means what it says on the box - its delicious. There are quite a few varieties available in Sultan. I’ve tried most of them and my favourite has to be the one in the photo, but then I prefer more nuts than fruit in my cereal. There’s one with dried berries. there’s also an organic one for those extra health conscious (I haven’t tried it :) and one with high fibre (for those who really need to go :) )
I have to say prices are reasonable at around KD2 a pack, especially when you compare with the American imported cereals in Sultan. At least now I won’t have to bring back cereal in my suitcase !!
