Man v Food
When I was last in the States I was channel hopping and came across a great show on the Travel Channel called Man v. Food. It’s hosted by a really funny, down to earth guy called Adam Richman who travels across America looking for restaurants who have famous food challenges. You know the ones. Like finish this enormous steak the size of a cow or this huge pizza enough for 10 people, and you eat for free and go in the restaurant’s hall of fame.
What makes this interesting is that there is usually a time limit and you never know if he’ll do it until the end of the show. Sometimes he makes it, sometimes he doesn’t - but its so much fun watching how the food is prepared and how he tries to win the challenge.
Unfortunately Man v. Food doesn’t seem to be on the Travel Channel that we get here but you can find it on the Net, for those who know where to look :)
A word of warning, do not watch when you are hungry !

look at that pizza ! how is it that he’s not huge ?
You don’t see what happens right after he finishes the food challenge, but in one of the episodes he does mention needing a bottle of Dulcolax…so maybe its just as well the camera is not around !
